1. What is hourly cleaning?
Hourly cleaning means booking a cleaner or team from a licensed company for a set number of hours, once or regularly every week or two. During those hours they work on the tasks you set, such as tidying rooms, mopping floors, and cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms.
This differs from full cleaning, where you agree a defined scope with the company — such as a deep clean of the whole home — regardless of the number of hours.
2. Why only through a licensed provider?
The relevant authorities in the Kingdom regulate hourly domestic labour services, which may only be provided through companies and platforms holding the required licence. This protects you and the workers: the cleaner is employed by the company with proper documents, the company is responsible for the work, and you have a clear party to contact.
Dealing with individuals offering their services directly, or with unlicensed providers, may put you in breach of the rules and gives you no protection if something goes wrong. That’s why SaudiCleaning only sends requests to registered companies, licensed where a licence is required.
3. What we don’t offer
- We don’t list individual cleaners.
- We don’t deal with recruitment, sponsorship transfer or any similar arrangement.
- We don’t offer any preference based on workers’ nationality.
- We don’t rate workers or show their photos or profiles.
What we do is pass your request to cleaning companies, who contact you with offers and are responsible for the service and their employees.
4. How to check a provider is licensed
Ask the company about its licence to provide hourly domestic services, which authority issued it, and how you can check it. A licensed company can answer clearly and give you a written booking or contract.
The relevant authorities regulate these services through an official system, so you can check the official channels for licensed providers before booking.
5. What to ask before booking
- Is the company licensed to provide hourly cleaning?
- Is the cleaner employed by the company with valid documents?
- How many hours per visit, and what’s the minimum?
- Does the cleaner bring materials and tools, or use what’s in the home?
- What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
- What happens if the cleaner is absent on a given day in a regular booking?
- How do you contact the company if you have feedback?
6. When hourly cleaning suits you
- You want regular help every week or two to keep the home clean.
- The home is generally clean and needs tidying, mopping and light cleaning.
- You want flexibility to set tasks on each visit.
- You need help before guests or a small occasion.
7. When full cleaning is better
- The home needs a deep clean after a long time.
- You’re moving into a new home or handing a flat back.
- After construction or renovation.
- You need a specialist service such as sofa washing, tank cleaning or facades.
In these cases you need an equipped team and a defined scope, not a number of hours. Read the deep cleaning checklist.
8. Setting tasks clearly
With hourly cleaning time goes quickly, so set tasks in the order that matters to you — for example kitchen and bathrooms first, then rooms, then floors. Write a short list to give the cleaner at the start of the visit so they know where to begin.
Be realistic about hours: a large home can’t be deep cleaned in two or three hours. If you need more, book more hours or choose full cleaning.
9. Respecting workers
Cleaners do important, tiring work and deserve respect and suitable working conditions: drinking water, time to rest, a suitable place to pray if needed, and never being asked to do dangerous work such as climbing to high places without safety equipment.
They shouldn’t be asked to work beyond what was agreed with the company. If you need extra tasks, agree them with the company. If you have feedback on the work, contact the company calmly.
10. Team preference and privacy
You can ask for a female cleaner or team for hourly cleaning, which is common for homes. Mention it in the form and confirm it when the company contacts you.
For regular bookings, ask whether the company can send the same cleaner each visit — it makes the work easier because they know the home. That depends on the company and its schedule.
11. Safety with cleaning products
If the cleaner will use your products, make sure they’re in their original labelled containers, and never ask them to mix different products. Keep products out of children’s reach and ventilate bathrooms and the kitchen while cleaning.
12. Regular bookings: what to agree
If you want hourly cleaning every week or two, agree in writing with the company the days and times, hours per visit, the core tasks, what happens on holidays and Eid, and how to pause or change the booking.
Review the arrangement after the first few visits — you may find you need more or fewer hours, or a periodic deep clean alongside the regular visits.
13. What affects the cost?
Cost depends on the number of hours, number of cleaners, frequency, whether the company brings materials, the city, and seasons such as Ramadan. We don’t list prices on the site, so request offers and compare them.
14. How to request offers
In the SaudiCleaning form, choose hourly cleaning, then your home type and size, frequency, team preference and who brings materials. Add your city and suitable days and times. Your request goes to cleaning companies, and booking happens only through licensed providers. See also hourly cleaning.
